Engineering doesn’t always have to be so serious!

We recently took some of our engineering team to help the children of Chapel of Garioch primary school build their electric car for them to race in the annual Greenpower race at the Grampian Transport Museum.

We offered help and guidance but allowed them to decide ultimately how the car would look and operate. We also helped them turn their drawings and ideas into a logo to represent the team.

This was an extremely rewarding and fun day for our team, and to top it off, we received great feedback from the children and teachers about how inspiring and beneficial they found the experience.

Helping the next generation was just as inspiring for us as it was for the children. Seeing the ingenuity and problem solving abilities of the Chapel of Garioch girls and boys left us feeling excited and confident that the future of engineering is in safe hands.
